Seth walked into the dark pub, looking immediately for a table to occupy as he waited for Amelia. It had been a while, a few months since he had seen her and his heart beat slightly faster at the thought of spending the evening in her company.
Walking to the bar he ordered two drinks, a rum and coke for him and a gin and tonic. Turning he finally spotted a clear table and moved quickly, shooting a dark look to another wizard eyeing off the furniture. He placed the drinks down, taking a deep breath. Calm the hell down boy. This is one of you best friends. Just a drink. He convinced himself, a calm smile appearing on his face as he watched the door.

Amelia walked through the door, he could have picked a better place to spend their time but it would do for now. She sneered a little as she walked through the door and shrugged off her fur collared jacket. Smiling over to Seth she worked her way through the tables and sat down on the seat across from him. She placed her jacket over the back of it and looked down, adjusting her top as she realized she wasn't showing nearly enough cleavage.
"Hey Seth."
She said as she flicked her head up, her hair falling around her face as though it were framing a beautiful picture.

"Amelia." Seth stated, reaching across the table to take her hand, lifting it to his mouth and kissing it lightly, in a slight joking manner.
"Beautiful as always." He said, smiling brightly to her as he let go of her hands and lifted his drink.
"I took the liberty of ordering your favorite." He said, motioning to the drinks on the table in front of him, a slight glint in his eye. Yes he remembered. He cocked his head to the side as he looked at her,
"So whats been happening Cutie?" He asked, using a stupid nickname he had made up months before hand, one he knew annoyed the hell out of her.

Amelia narrowed her eyes as she looked over to him, shaking her head as she picked up her drink and moved it closer to her, dipping the tip of her finger in the top and tasting it on her finger before letting it play along the top of the glass.
"Well, you call me cutie again and you'll never know."
She said with a false smile, she knew that really he was the best friend that she could ever want but they didn't have the conventional friendship that one would claim was shared between best friends.

"Aww come on Honey, whats been happening?" He asked once more, smirking over the edge of his glass as he took a sip.
"And you know you love the cutie nickname, fits you down to a tee." He continued, placing that glass down as he waited for her answer. He looked over her face seeing the girl he had come to regard as one of his closest friends, one of the first girls he had ever treated as a friend, equal, meaning every action.

"If you must know. Not much."
Amelia said with a disappointed voice. She pouted like a child as she sighed and picked up her glass, placing it to her lips as she took a sip and then placed the vessle back down on the table. She looked over to Seth, a small smile crossing her lips as she moved her chair around so she could rest her head on his shoulder.
"I want it to be interesting like it was back at school."

Seth laughed softly, patting Amelias head affectionately,
"Somethings I miss, some I dont. Pretending to be Mr Ordersupport extraordinaire with the halfwits in that house was never fun." He said, a slight whine to his voice.
"And besides, if we were back at school you and me would not be able to meet in public like this, and your head could definately not be on my shoulder!" He added, laughing slightly at the thought of this happening back in school.
"Although I must admit, it has got a bit boring of late."

Amelia let a small laugh escape her lips as she lifted her head and placed her hands on his shoulder as she rest her chin between them. Looking up to him she lent up and kissed his ear playfully before pulling back and laughing.
"I suppose you have a point. I just ... nothings happening. I keep trying to get close to talking to Draco and then something sets me back. It's just frankly unfair."
She whined as though she were a small child. All she wanted was to talk to him ... well maybe more, but that wasn't important. She idolized the man and he was so close yet she was continually halted. It was unfair.

Seth held back a shudder as she kissed his ears, she knew it was his weak spot.
"Amelia, you know you shouldnt do things like that unless you plan on following through on your actions." He said half jokingly. It was their way, joke about the sexual tension, joke about following up actions, knowing neither would.
He sighed as he heard her refer to Draco, jealously raising its ugly head. Not wanting her to see it he wrapped an arm around her.
"Cutie, you are stunning, soon he'll realise and be jumping at your feet for a chance, like most males around here." he said smiling softly to her.

Amelia sighed and nodded her head, resting it once again on his shoulder as she wrapped her arm around his waist. She closed her eyes and squeezed him tightly in for a hug before she parted her lips to speak.
"Thanks but I know I'm not going to get anywhere with that pug-faced Pansy Parkinson watching his every move."
She said with a venomous voice, she had to pretend to be the girls friend most of the time to even get a glimpse of the hidden prize just beyond her reach. This false friendship was never one Amelia was happy with sustaining.
"She's like his bloody guard dog!"

"Wouldn't you be if you had him?" He asked, laughing slightly as he knew he was talking the truth,
"You wouldn't let him out of your bed, let alone your sight!" He added, kissing her forhead before picking up his drink and taking a sip, in an attempt to break his attraction.
"Who is your latest bed buddy anyway?" He asked knowing that Amelia was always one for having a boy around, most of whom Seth hated with a passion, they weren't good enough, just a protective friend.... obviously.

Amelia smiled as he asked her about her actions of Draco were hers, it was certainly something she'd thought about before, though she was sure that was a thought she shared with many women. She mused on it for a moment deciding that if Draco were with her she wouldn't be the type to steal him away from others, after all, she would have had to steal him from Pansy to start with and she was not a hypocrite.
"Well, recently I've had all of no one in my bed. I've had no need to. I'm pretty much where I want to be right now and I haven't quite worked out who I need to tumble with to get that little higher."

Seth rolled his eyes,
"Come on Amelia not all sex has to be for furthering your status, you know, it can be fun!" He said raising his eyebrows suggestively at her, joking.. kinda.
"Theres noone out there, apart from Draco that your interested in a roll in the sack with?" He asked hoping for an answer he would like, not expecting one.
"I know there are a few girls out there I wouldnt mind." he laughed, taking another drink.

Amelia narrowed her eyes as he made his last comment. Though she'd never admit it to his face the girls he had always had a habit of getting under her skin. All pretty and thin she knew she could be one of them if only she weren't so focused on a mission and it was the mission that mattered. No matter how much she wanted to try being with him.
Rolling her eye before she spoke she lent back on her chair and made a point of showing him just how desirable she could be. Her dark hair falling around her as she quirked her head lightly to the side as she pretended to think of a guy. Her fingers slid down from her mouth as she teased them across her neck and collarbone, her smooth pale skin being something she was quite proud of.
Looking up to him as though she had just come from a trance she lifted her head and sat up in her chair, making sure she was on display enough to remove thoughts of any other girl from his head.
"Nope. I can't think of anyone. You got any specifics?"

Seth swallowed slightly at the sight, picking up his drink and taking a sip to cover it.
"Oh I don't know, I've got a couple of cute girls hanging around." He said, refering to herself amoung others. There were always others.
"Like a certain best friend trying to seduce me from the other side of the table. Really Amelia if you want me all you have to do is ask." He said, raising his eyebrows in a suggestive, joking manner once more.
