Being so close to Hogwarts made Tom shift nervously. He had left there, along with some of the best - and worst - memories, several months ago with little intention of returning. But that was of course before Draco found him, asking for him to help the Dark Lord's cause. That was what Tom had wanted to do. His parents were never given the chance, but they had always encourage him to join the Dark Lord's service.
Now with Draco and this new group ... the Black Vipers, Tom knew that this was his time. Before Draco even finished asking the question, Tom had already set his mind in place: he was going to join. Even if it meant leaving everything behind, including ... well, that was in the past. And that was the way it was probably going to remain, so long as he continued to serve the Dark Lord and the Black Vipers.
Being sub-commander was no easy task, but Tom took the responsibility well, and he fit the mandatory requirements excellently. It was merely a matter fo putting his head to the task and taking leadership of the people that required his guidance ... if there were any.
Glancing nervously over his shoulder again, Tom sat down on the rock, his black cloak wrapped loosely around his slender, athletic build, the hood covering his curly black hair. Draco was supposed to meeting him here, but he was already late. Then again, Tom had been a couple minutes late ... but no one could have prevented that; there were Muggles in the City and they had to be dealt with before he could leave.
