Age: 19
Bloodline: Halfblood
Gender: Female
Job: Waitress
Standing: Neutral
Plot: Right now Jynx is in the middle for her loyalties. She can be swayed by either side and anyone who wants to try. But for now she remains just a neutral, waitress.
Personality: Jynx was always hyperactive as a young girl, and the hyper activeness only turned in to mischief when she got into her teens. She always had such a friendly and bubbly personality and could easily converse with perfect strangers. She has a very easy going and laid back personality when it comes to doing activities she doesn't mind as long as it's fun, and most definitely enjoys ANY party! Jynx can grow bored very easily; it’s a hassle to keep her short attention span in check.
Jynx is an animal person to say the least. She absolutely adores animals, that’s why she’s a vegetarian, she cannot bear the thought of eating animal flesh, it sends shivers up her spine and causes her stomach to contract threatening to vomit. In all honesty she is an animal activist, but not to an extreme level, like attacking a teacher if they hurt an animal, she would probably get up and leave class.
Being short she fits the stereotype of “short people have short fuses” if she disagrees with you she’s going to let you know, and don’t try to tell her she’s wrong. She’s very strong-willed. However as angry as she can get she is very open-minded to everything around her be it activities or opinions. She enjoys hearing peoples opinions as long as their ready to hear hers. She cannot stand to be around someone who is egotistical, arrogant, cocky, or self-centered. They ruin life for her.
Jynx is also very clumsy and that is very much a part of her personality, she tends to get lost and/or trip over things whether they be invisible or visible she trips. More often then naught for no reason at all, her dad teases her about that. For instance she could be walking along the street of plain cement and she will catch her foot on midair and fall flat on her face.
If the situation calls for it Jynx would be there in a split second to save a friend if they were ever in need. She is very brave when it comes to her friends or family being in danger. They're two of the most important things in her life. She can't stand to see someone she cares about being hurt, mush like how she feels about animals being hurt, she would even risk her life to save an animal.
When life doesn't go her way Jynx tends to go into bouts of depression, in which she becomes very secluded and sullen. Especially when she gets hurt emotionally, she'll draw herself away from other people often refusing to talk and hardly eating. That's just the way she gets, however eventually it will go away only being a temporary personality trait.
Strengths: Jynx's bubbly and friendly personality helps her make friends easily. She's kind to everyone no matter what they are, and people love that. Jynx is very self-dependant, if she wants something she will usually go out of her way to get it for herself. She doesn't lean on others for support, well maybe her Da but he doesn't count. Being self-dependant helps Jynx achieve her acedemic goals, because if she wants to pass she won't hold off and hold off; she will begin studying the moment she can. Jynx is very creative whether it be for pranks or art, she always using her imagination to extend her creativity. Love is one her her strongest strengths, love is very much a part of her life, whether it be for friends, family or a special friend. Love is something that motives Jynx and keeps her going.
Weaknesses: Jynx trusts very easily and she doesn’t realize when she’s being walked all over. She would give up everything to someone else. Jynx is a bit of a pushover. Her anger is her weakness, she’s often gotten into irresolvable fights with friends due to her stubbornness and hard-headedness when it comes to subjects she is very opinionated about, such as animal creulty. She can't stand trying to be someone’s friend who just won't be hers back. When ever someone just doesn’t like her, she tends to think something is wrong with her. And this problem also makes it hard for her to make the first move with guys. She'll flirt but that’s about it, from there on its their job to make something happen. Jynx can't stand being ignored completely, if you see her and know her you better talk to her. Her clumsiness is very much a weakness, especially if she’s in a duel with someone she always manages to fall flat on her face giving the person the opportunity to curse her. Love is as much a weakness as it is a strength, only because when she says she'd do anything for love she means it even if that means being reckless and putting herself in danger for no reason what so ever.
History: Jynx was born to Blake and Rachel Marsters on the eve of New Year’s day at 11:58 pm. She kept her mother in labour for almost 15 hours. She just didn’t want to come out. Eventually when she did her father fell in love with her and her mother seemed unimpressed. Her mother seemed uninterested in having a daughter, maybe she felt Jynx was stealing the spotlight from her, or she had been hoping for a son, either way Jynx could never find out the truth now, as a toddler she was hardly going to ask her mother. Especially when she terrified the little girl with her sudden rage. Growing up as an only child and the only girl in the house once her mother left Jynx became a sort of tomboy going to the park to play Quidditch with her father always a beater, it was by far her most preferred position. She often mucked around with her father play fighting not afraid to get down and dirty.
Her father spoiled her to bits, even more so when her mother left. It was sufficed to say Blake was devastated when Rachel left, he was expected to raise his baby by himself, not like Rachel had been any help to begin with. But it was more the moral support she provided that he needed. Blake took a few years off from his job so he could give Jynx his undivided attention twenty-four seven, when in the long run helped Jynx a lot. Her father taught her everything, well mostly, she knows and she is a good person because of him. When her aunt Jessie came around that’s when she realised she was a girl. Jess and her would often take girl days and go shopping in London or Dublin. The first time this happened Blake nearly had a heart attack at the sight of his daughter in a dress, he never pictured her wearing one of those.
Jess taught Jynx to respect herself and others, to be herself and not someone that someone else wants her to be, and to be proud of herself no matter what everyone else says. It was her father that taught her to never let anyone tell her she couldn’t do something she wanted to do. That’s how she lives her life, through the teachings of her father and aunt. She showed her first signs of magic when she was 10 and she ‘accidently’ sent the whip cream flying at her father, thus leading to the infamous whip cream food fight that she never forgot. When Jynx got her acceptance letter to Hogwarts her father was ever so proud of her, he immediately took her to Diagon Alley to buy all her needed supplies and he made a feast for the small family of three to celebrate.
Before actually arriving at Hogwarts Jynx read through all her books expecting herself to be as good a witch as her aunt, however to her disappointment she wasn’t and soon learned she had 7 years ahead of her. Her first ride on the Hogwarts Express Jynx sat by herself very sullen and quiet, it was the first time she’d ever be away from her father for soon long, even after he had repeatedly told her that it would soon be Christmas holidays and she could return to Ireland she still missed him terribly in those first few hours. Jynx marvelled at the grand feast and the sorting ceremony it was all so wonderful and organized she soon learned to love Hogwarts. Jynx’s first year at Hogwarts was quite uneventful, she spent most of her time learning the ropes of the school and being very studious wanting to make her father proud of her. She only made friends with the librarian and had read a good portion of the library by the time her first year of Hogwarts came to a close. When she returned home with her head bubbling with information her father wondered where his bubbly, happy little girl and gone to. When Blake expressed his concerns to the young 12 year old she realised what she had done while at Hogwarts, she had changed for someone else. Something Jess had told her never to do, she was immediately ashamed with herself as she thought back to the year, she had secluded herself from everyone and hadn’t made any real friends.
Going back to Hogwarts in her second year she made a vow to herself that she would make friends and become herself again, and oh did she ever. Jynx returned to her happy and mischievous ways earning herself a reputation and a close-knit group of friends. But she was happy again and didn’t look back on her experience as a loner, she had learned something about herself that year, if she tried hard she do could whatever she wanted. Keeping that in mind she set her goals high, and worked hard towards them. She passed her exams with flying colours without having to be in the library twenty-four seven. Returning home that summer she spent most of her time outside playing with her dad in the country side of Ireland.
Her third year at Hogwarts was life changing, having kept a diary since forever she used it occasionally when she needed somewhere to vent her feelings when she was really mad. Most of the things she wrote in the diary she didn’t believe to be true but only wrote them for that was how she felt at the time she was angry. Well her close-knit, ‘trustworthy’ friends kidnapped her diary and read it. Reading the angry thoughts she had written down became wary of her and soon ‘ditched’ her as they referred to it later. It was a hard experience for Jynx, she had trusted them so much and would’ve done anything for them and she thought they’d do the same, she was wrong. Jynx hated being wrong. She went from being mad at them to being depressed quickly, she went back to her old ways in the library and became sullen and alone again. During the Christmas holidays in Ireland she severely considered not returning to school, however her father told her she should never run away from her problems. He also told her that she didn’t need friends like them if she had enemies. So Jynx returned to school completely ready to make new friends and leave her old ones behind, however during her break her ex-friends had struck again, this time spreading nasty rumours about her and no one wanted anything to do with her. She was devastated and further sunk into depression, she stopped talking to people and buried herself in work and study, there was a point where she stopped smiling.
That summer when she came home her father noticed the loss of his happy little girl and became very worried about her, she was bearing the same traits her mother bore before she left. He didn’t want to lose his princess the way he had lost his wife. One day Blake sat Jynx down and learned she had been trying to change herself so people would like her again and he told her she didn’t need to. She was wonderful the way she was, that her ex-friends had looked for a fault in her and they had found it in her angry thoughts in her diary. Using that they blew everything out of proportion and used that as support for everything they said. Jynx listened to her father, if there was one opinion in the world she valued the most it was her father’s.
The next year she busied herself with new activities, like trying out for the Quidditch team and began making new friends. Only this time she didn’t try to make new friends in a sole group, she decided never to limit herself like that again and began making friends a few in Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, Gryffindor and even one in Slytherin. She also didn’t constrict herself to friends, she began to take time to be on her own and draw something she had always loved to do. She left her studious habit behind her and strived only to cram before a test and read through her notes when necessary. She had much more important things to do, like win the next match Gryffindor vs. Slytherin. This time when she returned to Eiré, to the new home her father had bought in the spring, she brought two new friends along, one being a friend from school the other being a kitten she had found on the side of the road while walking home from the portkey. She had immediately fell in love with the little ball of fur and begged her father to let her keep him. Her friend stayed with them for 2 weeks before she had to go home and see her parents, and her father approved of her. He said she was a nice girl. Happy with his approval Jynx spent the summer exploring the forests behind their new house with Austyn. She didn’t think about school or friends, she mostly enjoyed her time with her new pet and her aunt and father.
After Hogwarts she did nothing awfully productive with her life. She simply took up a job at The Three Broomsticks as a waitress and is just trying to stay out of the war.
Apperance: Standing at a full 5’3 in height Jynx doesn’t mind being short too much. In general appearance Jynx is quite pretty, her dark tanned skin, in the summer, marks her Italian lineage. Her hazel eyes are a mix of her mother’s brown ones and her father’s green ones. Her parents were both brunettes, which is where she inherited her brown hair. Aside from being small she is always thin, her mother was always superficial and pressured her to be thin, not that Jynx needed to try she had a very high metabolism. General Appearance
Jynx being a half-blood prefers muggle clothes to wizarding robes. She tends to wear plenty of skirts and dresses, proud to be a girl even though she came be a tomboy at the best of times. But equalises her wardrobe with jeans and t-shirts. She enjoys being comfortable yet stylish at the same time, and often has her hair in a new hairstyle every day. More often then naught her hair is hanging loosely down her back when it’s long.

The world was spinning faster then it usually did. Wide-eyed Jynx stumbled down the stairs landing with a smack against the cold stonewall. She ran her hands up the wall supporting her with them. Her chest was tight and she couldn’t breath, she was dying she knew it. Her throat was closing up, eyes closed her pressed her hot forehead to the cold wall. In through your nose…out through your mouth Jynx…get a hold of yourself. She scolded herself mentally. She was a being a bit of a drama queen right now, but she was slowly dying inside. They had viciously taken a chunk of her and walked off smirking.
Standing up straighter Jynx ran a hand through her straight, brown hair. She opened her eyes and began walking again with as much dignity as she could muster right now. She could hear the portraits whispering about the strange girl who had just tumbled down the stairs. Turning her head to the left Jynx saw a heavy wood door cracked open slightly. Shifting herself she walked over and pressed both palms to the door pushing it open. Stepping into the dimly lit room she examined it to see if she was alone or if there were other students hanging out or snogging, one or the other. She was pleased to see she was alone, turning around quickly she pushed the door shut with little effort and marched over to the windowsill. She leaned down on her hands peering out onto the snowy grounds.
Her chest constricted again, she couldn’t believe this had happened to her, she used to be so…for lack of a better word…popular. Everyone had wanted to be her friend and now no one. She closed her eyes but the tears flowed through. She wanted her Da. She wanted him to come and hug her and kiss her and tell her everything would be alright, but the holidays were still 2 weeks away. She opened her eyes again and stared through her blurry vision at the white grounds as the sun set in the west casting red, orange and pink hues across them as if it were trying to paint it. She sighed heavily as the scene flashed before her eyes again,
I don’t think we can be friends anymore…you just too…clingy. You are always telling us what to do and you get so jealous if we have other friends besides you. It’s just not working for us…I’m sorry but consider yourself ditched. Jynx growled low in her throat. How dare they. They made up lies about her and then had the nerve to say them to her face. She shook her head leaning it forward staring at her hands, at the brightly painted polish on her fingernails. Her hair fell into her face and she blew at it trying to move it. They had been best friends…why? Why had they gotten so mad at her suddenly? The thought never dawned on Jynx that perhaps they had read her diary and it had provoked them. She just couldn’t imagine her best friends reading her diary it was so…unreal.
Straightening up again she turned having now composed herself. Maybe there was a book in the library she could read, books usually told you the things you needed to know, so their had to be a book on backstabbing best friends. Jynx nodded, yes there had to be. Turning around she headed towards the door, grasping the brass knob she pulled it open and stepped back out into the corridor. All but running she began towards the library.
