Age: Thirty-four
Bloodline: Pureblood
Gender: Female
Job: N/A
Standing: Death Eater
Plot: Josephine wants to support her husband, the Dark Lord, and eventually rise the rank of the Inner Circle.
Personality: Josephine is a smooth cunning woman, with a abounding amount of intelligence. She is a very ‘take control of the situation’ person, always ready for anything that gets in her way, which, consequently, don‘t stay in her way for very long. Josephine is a extremely loyal person, she will never disobey any orders given to her by a superior, or hold them in dispute; it‘s not her job to understand the order, merely to carry them out. At first glance, she might appear to be a warm, even softhearted person. But underneath the veneer of her social attitude lies a heart that is as cold as ice.
Her demeanor is generally strict, asking for no leeway when it comes to error, and giving none. Neat and tidy has been her theme ever since she was a young child, and she has stuck to it faithfully her entire life. Josephine has a very persuasive bearing which allows her to wile those under her command, as well as those whom she serves. Although Josephine has many distasteful traits, she is not all ruthless; she has her good side, although it is often hard to see it. She has a deep love for her child Pansy, and though she never shows it to her. It is there.
Josephine is extremely beautiful, and often uses her looks to seduce men, to get what she wants. Her sly and persuasive manner often fools her enemies, giving her a type of control over them. Physically, Josephine is quite the petite, but holds a delicate strength of her own. She has a large span of spells and uses them at her pleasure.
Josephine is among one of the most ill-tempered people you would ever meet. Her exasperating behavior often shows up in even the most petty discussions. Chasing off any of chance of a friendly conversation. Bad judgment, to say the least. Josephine may be brilliant, but her quick and not well thought out plans turn into a catastrophe. Judging people by their looks and not of their heart is also a horrible mistake she makes. To her everything is about appearance. If you don’t have the ’look’ you don’t fall into her category.
History: Josephine was born in 1966, as Josephine Alicia Gage, to a family of Pureblood. She was the last born of four, in a family which doted upon their children. She was a spoiled a child, one who was used to getting her way in every situation, which later developed into a lack of respect for her elders as well as a fiercely competitive spirit towards her contemporaries. Despite outward appearances, however, her family life was not a happy one. Her parents, while in no way lenient with money, responded coldly and distantly towards their children.
She was accepted to Hogwarts, of Witchcraft and Wizardry, was sorted into Slytherin, and immediately set out to excel in the areas that she felt would best compliment her fiercely competitive nature. Almost instantly she drove herself to the center of attention and attempted, quite valiantly to put down any popular opposition. Even her own family members, in their respective years above her, were amazed at her ability to drive a point home, and to make it look like she was always in the right.
In her fifth year at Hogwarts, Josephine became more closely aquatinted with one Avery Parkinson, a fellow Slytherin; and more importantly, a fellow Pureblood. Avery, as an equally cunning and talented housemate, was a perfect compliment to Josephine’s social status. They began to date steadily, and at the age of seventeen, Josephine became pregnant, they were married soon after.
After the birth of her daughter, Pansy, Avery began to grow more distant; he drank heavily, and was often thrown into fits of rage. Josephine, in desperation to escape her husbands wrath, joined the elite group known as the Death Eaters. As in school, she progressed rapidly through the ranks, stopping just shy of the position of a member in the Inner Circle.
Apperance:
Role Play Sample: Josephine flipped idly through the pages of her book, glancing up every once and while to look over her shoulder. Her legs were draped across the side of her crimson arm chair, swinging back and forth in the air. She sighed heavily, snapping her book shut and placing it on the coffee table beside her. Where is that bloody creature with my tea? She thought tersely. It had been ten minutes since she had commanded one of her house elves to get her a cup of tea, and tardiness was never accepted in Josephine’s home.
“Here you are mistress.” The house elf said humbly as he entered the study, a tray in hand with a pot of tea, a cup, and a plate of tarts balanced precariously on top. Josephine raised a eyebrow as she watched the elf carefully set her drink down on the coffee table next to her. She had a urge to kick the poor creature for being late, but decided it would be far to much fun to play with the little elf. “And what took Mildon so long?” She asked, batting her eyelashes and putting on an air of feigned curiosity.
The scrawny little house elf looked up at her with big, blue, fear filled eyes. “I…” He stuttered. “Lo…Lord Parkinson needed me, Madam.” He replied, bowing his head toward the ground.
Josephine’s eyes flashed furiously as she rose to her feet. “I’ve told you before Mildon!” She growled furiously, pointing a slender finger at the elf. “when I tell you to do something, you are to do it immediately! Not go off and…and help my husband!” She hastily pulled her wand from her coat pocket and pointed it at the elf, a malicious grin slipping onto her face. “You are quite right mistress! Lord Parkinson told me it was of great urgency!” Mildon croaked, dropping to one knee, “but you are so right mistress, Mildon has been bad, punish Mildon immediately!”
Josephine laughed coldly as she let her wand drop to her side. “You are a pathetic creature, I’m not going to hurt you…not yet anyways.” She rolled her eyes lazily, running a smooth hand through her brown hair. “but,” she said, narrowing her eyes on the elf. “If you do not obey my orders directly, FROM THIS DAY FORWARD. I shall have you beaten every day, so long as you live.”
