Name: Spencer Brian Hawke
Canon Character, Original, or Canon Related: Original
List your other accounts and the matching characters: None
Age: 23
Bloodline: Half-Blood
Gender: Male
Job: Bartender at the Hog’s Head
Standing: Neutral (at the moment, unsure if he will choose later)
Plot: Spencer is just trying to get his life on track, starting by getting a part-time job. He doesn’t have much direction right now and all he really wants to do is avoid getting pulled in to the Death Eaters or the Order. Definitely not looking for love at this moment in time though company would not be denied.
Personality: Spencer upon first meeting him can come off a tad cocky and when you get to know him.... He can still be kinda cocky but that’s all part of his charm. He is really a sweet guy although his boisterousness can get him into trouble and piss other people off. He is a deathly loyal friend once you get to know him and all that really takes is an actual, in depth, intelligent conversation.
Spencer is a natural jester and enjoys making people laugh and has great respect for anyone who can make him laugh..... without making a dirty joke. But when someone is in trouble his serious side will shine through. Spence is a leader at heart and can take charge of a situation if he is needed but much prefers to sit back and watch how everything plays out, offering his advice every now and then.
History: Growing up in a home with a muggle father hasn’t always been easy for Spencer. While his father, Kevin Hawke had accepted his mothers “difference” as he called it, he had never wanted Spencer to be the same as she was. Kevin wanted Spencer to have a normal balanced life, free of the troubles caused by some wizard named Voldywart or something. He didn’t want Spencer to suffer like his mother, Jessica Parker, had when He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named, as she referred to him afterwards, killed her sisters. Eventually Jessica fell at the wand of a Death Eater and Kevin was left to care for Spencer. It was only a year after her death that Spencer had received the letter accepting him into Hogwart’s and he refused to go.
He couldn’t leave his father alone so soon and he didn’t want to be part of a world that had caused his mother to die so soon. As the years went on, the strange things that happened around Spencer started to get worse. Kevin had learnt years ago from Jessica that the things happened because his magic was growing but he wasn’t using it or learning to control it. He hadn’t believed her, he had assumed that he would be able to get it out of Spencer. Kevin even tried using a hypnotist to push back Spencer’s magic, Spencer began to do rigorous physical exercise, the idea that the stronger he was, the better he could get rid of his magic. He didn’t want it, he didn’t want to hurt his father like his mother had.
Until one day, Spencer accidentally smashed all the windows in their patio. Kevin tried to calm him down, telling him that they could fix it, that Spencer needed to keep his emotions in check or he would lose control. This only angered Spencer more, how could he be anymore out of control. They yelled back and forth until finally one of the shards of glass still hanging loosely in one of the windows, flew at Kevin. Spencer blacked out and when he came to he was told that his father had survived the glass but was in intensive care, an inch to the left or right and he wouldn’t have been so lucky. Realising that he could do more damage to his father staying then leaving, he managed to get in contact with Dumbledore through a friend of his mothers. After a meeting with the Headmaster, Spencer explained what had happened, how he was afraid for what he would do next. Fully expecting to be told of course he couldn't get in as he was a danger to the other students, it was a huge shock when the man agreed to let Spencer into Hogwarts. On the condition that before starting the year at the school he had some basic training to bring him up to speed.
When he left his home, all Spencer left was a note explaining what he was doing and why he needed to. For the remainder of the time left before the new school year, Spencer constantly studied with the aid of a tutor Dumbledore arranged. He was determined to do as well as he could, he didn't want to dissapoint the man who was giving him a second chance. Spencer has not spoken to his father since, afraid of what he would say to him. When he finished Hogwarts, he knew he couldn't go back to his father and he had many thanks to give to Dumbledore so he decided to stay in Hogsmeade and got a job bartending at Hog's Head.

Danni looked up as Emery entered the clearing, her breath hitching in her throught as she saw him. This was it, there he was and now it was her chance to tell him how she felt. Her hands were shaking as she took a step towards him and began to speak, cursing the tremour in her voice.
'Hey Emmy. Th-thanks for coming here to meet me. I was afraid after everything, you wouldn't want to see me.'
Danni took a deep breath, and clasped her fingers together to stop him from seeing how scared she was. Another step forward and she began again, knowing that she had to do this even if he did yell at her for jerking him around.
'I-I didn't actually think I would be this nervous but I guess, I never pictured what I was going to say with you right there. Oh god, Emmy. You were right. What you said. We loved each other in secret for years and then I forgot about you.'
She stopped, biting her lip and closing her eyes for a second. This was it, the last moment before she told him what she should have told him every day for as long as she could remember.
'I shouldn't have. I love you. I love you more than I thought it was possible to love another person and I was stupid to think that I could find anyone else that would make me feel the way you make me feel. I know that I have screwed up more times than I could possibly count and you probably are about to yell at me for jerking you around.... But I love you and I am so sorry that it took me this long to remember that.'
Danni stopped, letting her eyes drift upwards to look at him. Her breath stopped as it went silent at the end of her speech and she tried to quell the large urge she had to run as fast and far from him as possible.
